Zandra Rhodes: Unseen

In July and August 2013 the Fashion and Textile Museum presented the exhibition Zandra Rhodes: Unseen, which sought to highlight lesser-known elements from the designer’s archive, particularly her beaded dresses and recent work, to demonstrate the breadth of her creative practice. The exhibition also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Fashion and Textile Museum, which Zandra Rhodes created and opened to the public in 2003.

The museum hosted a teachers’ evening with a behind-the-scenes tour by the exhibition curator, which also considered how the new Digital Study Collection can be used in schools and colleges. The museum has produced a sample lesson plan for the exhibition and Digital Study Collection, which they have kindly allowed us to share on this blog.
